FAQ

Common questions

What kind of invoices work best?

Digital (text) PDF invoices — the kind produced by billing/accounting software — work out of the box.

What about scanned or photographed bills?

Those need the free Tesseract OCR engine installed. If it isn't, such files are simply flagged as "needs OCR" and we'll happily help you set it up.

Will every field always be correct?

Extraction is best-effort and depends on each invoice's layout, so always review the figures in Excel before use. It is a data-entry aid, not tax advice.

GST invoice?

Yes, emailed automatically after purchase.
